Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Loan Program

The Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Loan Program is available to eligible Piedmont EMC members to finance the purchase and installation of an energy efficient electric heat pump(14 SEER or greater), replacement of poorly insulated doors and windows, and/or additional insulation in their home at low interest rates. This loan is also available for solar water heaters, solar panels and central A/C systems. Approved members may borrow up to $10,000 for seven (7) years at five percent (5%) interest.
This program is only available for existing homes served by Piedmont EMC. New construction does not qualify for the program.
